Read the full story → About the measures. The composite averages six Extraversion facets. The latent score adjusts for cross-country differences in how questionnaire response scales are used.
Common-SNP rule. Every country and separate population within the selected map uses one exact set of 192 SNPs. The two datasets are standardized separately, so compare geographical patterns rather than absolute z values between tabs.
Population entries. Amish and Ashkenazi Jewish scores use the same 192 SNPs and 38-country reference scale as the country map. They do not enter national averages or change the reference scale. The Amish marker is placed in Pennsylvania for display; the pooled Ashkenazi Jewish score has no single geographic location.
Country-composition rule. Named Indigenous-minority and genetic-isolate panels are excluded from national averages. Thus Brazil excludes Karitiana and Suruí; Italy excludes Sardinian and the CAR, FVG and VBI isolate cohorts.
UK Biobank fallback rule. Immigrant UKBB aggregates are used only where no eligible non-UKBB source is available. Ireland uses IrishUKBB as its sole fallback. Bangladesh, China, India and Pakistan exclude their immigrant UKBB aggregates. India still uses diaspora samples from 1000 Genomes (GIH in Houston and ITU in the UK).
Aggregate-WGS Mexico uses its dedicated national panel. In the individual-level map, MXL is used only in the sample-size-weighted ASW–CEU–MXL USA composite.
